Jerusalem Center for Women is a non-governmental organization officially registered in East Jerusalem with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior in 1994. Since its inception, JCW has empowered thousands of Palestinian women by training female community leaders, activists, young professionals and politicians; provided legal assistance to families at risk of having their homes demolished; and advocated on a local and international level for women’s rights and an end to occupation.


Almajd Association is an independent, civil, non-profit aimed at promoting a sustainable society based on the empowerment of women and the development of marginalized children in the central through capacity-building programs for Glory Women's Association and partner institutions, networking and communication and the empowerment of women and child development. Glory Women's Association is committed to achieving the vision through the principles of human rights, which includes responsibility and commitment to the rule of law, transparency, tolerance, justice, equality and non-discrimination, participation and empowerment of marginalized groups.


Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions is democratic and independent in its relations and decisions, enjoys legal personality and enjoys independent financial status and has the right to possess and manage movable or immovable properties and to conclude contracts in accordance with Laws in force in the Palestinian territories. Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions was established in 1965, the PGFTU’s headquarter is in Jerusalem and may open branch/branches in all governorates in the country.


ADDAMEER (Arabic for conscience) Prisoners Support and Human Rights Association is a Palestinian non-governmental, civil institution which focuses on human rights issues. Established in 1992 by a group of activists interested in human rights, the center's activities focus on offering support for Palestinian prisoners, advocating the rights of political prisoners, and working to end torture through monitoring, legal procedures and solidarity campaigns.


The Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) was established in 1993 upon a Presidential Decree issued by President Yasser Arafat, in his capacity as President of the State of Palestine and chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization. The Decree was subsequently published in the Official Gazette in 1995. In accordance with the Decree, the duties and responsibilities of ICHR were set out as follows: “to follow-up and ensure that different Palestinian laws, by-laws and regulations, and the work of various departments, agencies and institutions of the State of Palestine and the Palestine Liberation Organization meet the requirements for safeguarding human rights”. The Decree entrusted ICHR with the drafting of its statutes in a manner that would ensure its independence and effectiveness.


Defence for Children International-Palestine Section (DCI-Palestine) is a national section of the international non-governmental child rights organisation and movement, Defence for Children International (DCI), established in 1979. As such, it is a member of the International General Assembly of DCI, which convenes every three years. Currently, DCI has 45 national sections and associated members throughout the world, an international secretariat in Geneva and consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, UNICEF, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe. Each national section and associated member is an autonomous entity affiliated to the movement by pledging to follow the broad mandate of promoting and protecting the rights of children according to international standards. Thus each national section adapts its vision, mission and strategies to the particular context in which it is operating. Consequently, DCI-Palestine develops its own programs according to Palestinian children’s needs and priorities.

 


DCI/PS is dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of Palestinian children in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), as well as other international, regional and local standards.

The Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that is devoted to peacebuilding and reconciliation in Ireland, North and South, Britain and beyond. The programme work builds peace and fosters reconciliation by facilitating dialogues, creating peace education resources, and much more.
