Local Election Monitoring

Engaging youth in electoral scrutiny

As part of our work to support youth engagement in leading positive social and political change, this project aims to ensure adherence to campaign and electoral regulations in the Ramallah district local elections.

Initially, the project will develop an online platform to facilitate logging and tracking any election irregularities witnessed by a volunteer observer linked to Leaders, or a member of the public. The development of this platform will take into consideration all potential legal irregularities and Leaders is developing a mobile web interface to facilitate access to the platform by the volunteers.  Due to resource restrictions, the monitoring of the elections will only be held in local government units in the Ramallah governorate.

The Social and Political Leaders Program aims to develop the leadership skills of young people and equip them with the tools to promote and lead social and political change.
