Leaders Organization has recently been awarded a grant by the Youth Driven Development Grant Competition which is a new initiative managed by the World Bank and sponsored by the Global Partnership for Youth Investment. Leaders was awarded this grant to implement the “E-Commerce Support Unit” Project which aims to introduce e-commerce in developing small and medium enterprises owned or managed by young entrepreneurs. The project will specifically target entrepreneurial projects operating in the areas of producing ceramics, handicrafts and agricultural products in areas of the West Bank.

Throughout the implementation period of the project, Leaders Organization will establish a unit to support e-marketing in order to provide young entrepreneurs with the services required to market their products. In addition to this, Leaders will establish an electronic platform which will provide a centralized solution for entrepreneurs to manage their online business and where clients can place their requests. Leaders will also provide specific training to entrepreneurs to develop their capacity in using the online system and related services such as mail delivery, online payments and advertising.

The contest was held in France where several organizations from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, and Palestine attended.
