Under the template of the Project, “Lawyers for Citizens’ Rights”, Leaders Organization networked with a group of Human Rights Organizations that operate in the occupied Palestinian territories; whereby a visits program along with workshops were conducted during the months of May and July 2009 at the headquarters of these organizations. Such visits and workshops aimed to familiarize participants to the nature of the work of these organizations in their attempts to defend the rights of citizens as well as the challenges that face them in their work. Under this component of the Project, the teams of Addameer Prisoners’ Support, Al-Haq Organization, Human Rights Association, as well as The Independent Commission for Human Rights and the Defense for Children International/Palestine all welcomed the participants of “Lawyers for Citizens’ Rights” at their respective headquarters throughout the two months.
