Leaders Organization in cooperation with the Palestinian Bar Association, concluded their joint project “Lawyers for Citizens’ Right” that was implemented through the year 2009 and was funded by the European Commission through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights.

Within the frame work of the project, twenty-five lawyers from all regions of the West Bank were targeted through an integrated training program in order to enhance their skills in leadership and the defense of citizens’ rights. In addition to this, the participating lawyers were introduced to the organizations working in the field of defending human and citizen’s rights in Palestine through an integrated visits program to the human rights organizations.

Mr. Abdullah Najajra, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Al-Quds University and a professor of criminal Law, commented that “this project is an important step in strengthening the skills of the trainee lawyers where the ability of writing scientific researches is considered to be the most essential”.
