Leaders Organization has signed a grant agreement with the Welfare Association to implement the project titled Outsource2Palestine
Leaders Organization has signed a grant agreement with the Welfare Association to implement the project titled “Outsource2Palestine”. Outsource2Palestine will support 20 young entrepreneurs to establish sustainable business start-ups in knowledge based industries relying on market opportunities in the region. The project identified four knowledge based industries which have a strong market potential: Translation services, electro-mechanical engineering design, 3D modeling and financial analysis services. The project will develop the capacity of young professionals who are specialized in one of the four supported service areas. It will rely on professional development, legal advice, training, market outreach to potential clients, management support, English language support and enhanced access to finance through linking the project beneficiaries with microfinance agencies operating in the Palestinian Territories. “Outsource2Palestine” contains remarkable activities which will contribute to the success of the newly established businesses, examples include visits to regional companies more specifically companies in the Gulf with the aim of identifying the regional market requirements and the possibilities of contracting such companies. “Outsource2Palestine” comes within Welfare Association’s “Youth Employability 2010” program which aims to employ the Palestinian youth in the local market through strengthening the Palestinian youth capabilities to become more competitive in the local market and to provide competitive and distinctive services to the regional and international markets. The project falls under Leaders Organization’s Economic Empowerment Program that aims to develop the professional skills of young people in fields of relevance to the local market. This program also focuses on enabling young Palestinians to drive the market forward through empowering innovative youth and developing their entrepreneurial skills. Leaders envisions the development of a sustainable economic empowerment program that can provide support services to young entrepreneurs, reduce vulnerability to economic and political risks and develop their professional skills. |
